Phillip Dorsett: Will visit North Carolina during the season
#1
Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas High School WR and Cane commitment Phillip Dorsett says one program continues to recruit him hard besides Miami - North Carolina.

"I hear from them a lot," said Dorsett, who has 25 scholarship offers. "I'll visit North Carolina during the season. That's it for my visits (besides UM).

"But it's a solid commitment, 100 percent right now."

Dorsett says he's working hard to prepare for his senior season.

"We work out Monday through Friday, lift every day, run two or three times a week," he said. "We're just trying to get ready for football."

He's been staying in regular contact with Cane coach Aubrey Hill.

"He just catches up on how I'm doing," Dorsett said. "I talked with him a few days ago. He was telling me to say hi to my parents, was just checking up on how I'm doing. He's a real laid back guy, a guy I can relate to, a guy I can get along with."

Of his goals at Miami, Dorsett said, "I just want to come in, try to compete, do whatever I can because I know there are a lot of guys that will be ahead of me. If they want me to contribute on special teams I'll do that."

Dorsett says he's talking with his former teammates who are now at UM.

"I talk to Keion Payne a lot," Dorsett said. "He said he thinks he might get into the rotation. He said the workouts are crazy, said we're kind of used to it because of the program we come from."

As a junior Dorsett finished with 30 receptions for 594 yards with 10 touchdowns.
